Amthor Expanding Production, Adding 30 New Jobs

Amthor International will be increasing production at its Gretna plant which will result in the addition of 30 new jobs immediately.

“Amthor is a leader in our industry,” commented Brian Amthor, Vice President of Marketing. “Due to our focus on quality, delivery, and product innovations, we have seen a growth in our sales orders which has necessitated expanding our workforce in Gretna.” Amthor operates an 86,000 square foot plant and employs over 100 people at its Gretna plant. While immediate plans do not require the physical expansion of the plant, the additional jobs will allow the company to operate its existing two shifts at capacity.

Amthor will be hiring welders, mechanics, and electricians. Applications are available online at here or are also available at the Gretna plant (237 Industrial Drive, Gretna). Amthor offers a competitive wage and full benefit package. In addition, Amthor is exploring transportation options for potential employees who live outside of the immediate Gretna area.

Amthor International, a fourth generation family-owned company, is the nation’s largest and most diverse manufacturer of truck mounted tanks, which include uses for the refined fuel, propane, mining, vacuum and septic, portable restroom, water, well drilling, and construction industries. The company has grown from a 1928 blacksmith shop in Ellenville, N.Y., to its two locations today. Amthor International has been named to the Inc. 5000 of the fastest growing privately held companies in the U.S.
