Amthor International Forms Tank Program with UD Trucks North America

March 1, 2012 Gretna, VA — Amthor International and UD Trucks North America announced today that they have formed a Tank Program for the refined fuel, propane, vacuum/septic and all related tank industries, today announced Brian Amthor, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Amthor International.

UD Trucks dealers will be trained on the sales, marketing, installation, service and maintenance of Amthor Tanks mounted on UDNavistar chassis.   There are 123 UD Trucks dealer located across the United States, including Puerto Rico.

Truck owners will be able to use the financing program offered by Horizon Capital Services and participating dealers will become a one-stop location for the truck chassis, truck tank and all other necessary equipment as well as future service and parts.

HINO Trucks Forms Tank Program With Amthor International

NOVI, MI – Hino Trucks and Amthor International announced today that they have formed a Tank Body Program for the refined fuel, propane, fire prevention, vacuum/septic and all related tank industries.

Hino Trucks nationwide dealer network will become a one-stop location for the truck chassis, truck tank and all other necessary equipment as well as future service and parts. All Hino Trucks dealers are being trained on the sales, marketing, installation, service and maintenance of Amthor Tanks mounted on a Hino chassis.

Amthor International Expands and Adds Jobs

Amthor International is building an 8,000 square foot addition to its plant in Gretna, Virginia that will allow the company to add a minimum of 50 new production jobs over the coming months, announced Brian Amthor, VP.

This major economic development announcement represents an investment of $500,000 and is the result of increasing worldwide demand for tanks mountings in the refined fuel, vacuum, propane and mining markets. The expansion will allow Amthor International to increase capacity in both its first and second shifts.

New Jobs Coming to Amthor’s Gretna Plant

Amthor International, a manufacturer of truck-mounted tanks, will be adding 50 jobs to its current staff of about 60 full-time employees, the company announced Tuesday.

The company opened its manufacturing plant in Gretna in 1992 to build tanks for fuel delivery vehicles, water trucks, fire department pump trucks and more.

Pittsylvania County Director of Economic Development Ken Bowman told a crowd of county leaders that are also under way for enlarging the plant.

Arnold “Butch” Amthor talked to the group about how the business has grown, with the company’s tanks being fitted to various trucks and shipped to countries all over the world.

A shipment of two water tank trucks left for Puerto Rico as the crowd was forming, and other orders are currently being prepared for Morocco and China, Amthor said. An American company has also ordered 75 tank trucks that can empty portable toilets.

Fred Ingram, the Callands-Gretna District member of the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors, presented Amthor with a pewter Pittsylvania County seal paperweight, a gift reserved for new companies arriving in the county or existing companies expanding and adding jobs.

Amthor and Navistar Form Alliance

Gretna, VA — Amthor International and Navistar have formed an alliance called the Amthor Tank Program, as part of International’s North American Specialized Tank Program for the refined fuel, propane, fire prevention and vacuum/septic industries, announced Brian Amthor, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Amthor International.

Navistar truck chassis dealers will be trained on the sales, marketing, installation, service and maintenance of Amthor Tanks mounted on Navistar chassis.   There are over 500 Navistar dealer locations across North America.

Truck owners will be able to use the financing programs offered by Navistar and participating dealers will become a one-stop location for the truck chassis, truck tank and all other necessary equipment as well as future service and parts.  There will be a website debuting in late June 2010 where end-users can access to view what dealers have in stock throughout North America with numerous other features as well.
